Getting a passport in Vancouver
For Clark County travelers with an urgent trip, the Seattle Passport Agency, about 135 miles north, is the nearest agency, and it takes appointments only for travel within 14 days or a visa needed within 28. Oregon has no agency either. For a first passport, Vancouver's Orchards, Cascade Park and Downtown Vancouver post offices all schedule passport appointments, and several Portland post offices within 15 miles do too. Battle Ground and Washougal have post offices that accept applications as well. Washington's Department of Health partners with local health departments for in-person birth certificates, and Clark County Public Health's vital records office on E Fourth Plain Blvd can issue any Washington birth from 1907 on, so it also serves people born elsewhere in the state. Camas has its own page, and our Portland page covers the Oregon side.
